Iron Chef went through a phase were it was all truffles and fois gras. In retrospect, that was lame. But they evolved with the times and grew. Fine cooking is about growing ideas.

Pretty sure they're only rambling on and on to fill up air-time since they only have 3 chicken dishes to comment on. Can't have the show running too short!

well, i've heard the early episodes were only 30 minutes in running, and this was a very early episode. for the US dub, they added more clips of what the judges thought of their dishes. since that was the case, maybe they should have added more clips of them cooking. i personally didn't like them rambling on much either. it almost felt like it was longer than the actual cooking.
