Powwow at Sunridge Middle School in Pendleton, Oregon

Courtesy of Sunridge Middle School. The event was the first of its kind in recent memory for the school, according to Principal Matt Yoshioka. Its main organizer was Sunridge eighth-grader Lupita Tohet, who adorned unique American Indian regalia with a SpongeBob Squarepants pattern. The powwow included traditional dancing and a raffle with prizes, among other activities.
