Hank was a true hillbilly singer. It's too bad that we have allowed the people to hijack hillbilly music like they have today. Very few real country artist left.

he just telling a story of a sad and loney man thats why he was called him the driffter it sad that God had to take him home so soon his music will be played years and years from now we just have to keep it alive

I believe that Hank tried to escape his demons by drinking without realizing that there is a devil in the bottle. It is hard to be saved when sober and I think impossible when you have surrendered you soul to the devil in the bottle.
