  • I was thinking about how people have been making cartoons recently such as Eureka Seven and Bleach and have so much animation as well as colors, shading and spoken text and story presented as well as order and story pacing. They must go through hell for making an episode a week, especially as long as they go on. Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball. Especially since they use to do 2 episodes specials. They best be gettin' paid good.

  • @furyberserk Yeah hard to believe how much goes into a single frame, and that there are 24 of them in a single second. Makes live action seem easy.

  • It does take a lot of work, just working on one episode of anime, or just a kid's cartoon can take up a couple of months or a year. I am currently working to be an animator, but for now I am an artist in college :)

  • @mooncosmos03 Very cool. Good luck with your school and hope you get a real fun job from it.

  • Where does one buy a xerox copier like the one used in this video?

  • @creamsodaboy Japan maybe? No idea. Especially since these days nothing's painted like this anymore you'd probably have a lot of trouble finding one new.

  • @83Berenike I disagree. Though i truly respect old fashioned animators to go through this work, i think its more about the actual drawing talent than the tediousness/annoying-ness. Flash animation should be just as recognized because it still depends on the persons drawing talent (unless its tweened or some bs). Just because its more efficient in time, it doesnt mean they can't draw (eg. see HarryPartridge). Plus it allows smaller teams to do the animation.

  • 1:41 That is an "inker" someone who inks all those little frames. Walt Disney had at least 60 girls, all lined up in rows inking frames for his masterpieces like Snow White, he called them his "ink girls" and was especially nice to them considering the mundane task they were set with

  • @furyberserk well nowadays they do the animation on the computer, this is from when Sailor Moon first began to air in 1991, now there are many programs to animate on a computer ^_^

  • @adamrulz anime usually has 12 frames per second :)

  • God love the magic of new technology. Man. animating the old fashioned way seemed too difficult to even bother with! >o< *sniff*

  • Screw computer animation. This is how it has to be done. Otherwise it doesn't deserve any merit or recognition whatsoever.

  • That's so AMAZING, But I Wanted with english subtitles, I Could learn easily :)

  • i love animation japan o*______*o

  • Thank god for graphic tablets. The animation process looks so boring and tedious. 2D animation is beautiful, but far to time consuming the old way. Now they have all the artistic qualities of the old 2D, in a fraction of the time. I mean, you stuff up while painting one of those cells, you'd think it would be a pretty big deal to get another one and start all over again, nowadays, you just CTRL + Z :P ...

  • @Cartoonothing I know whyd they change it so much
