@lovesGenet Pardon me, though it's been a year since your comment, I find it incredible that you insult three fine Romantic composers for writing music that isn't "worth the paper" it was printed on. Considering the sheer amount of musical shit that Alkan committed to paper, this piece included, I think you'd find it in your heart to forgive the other three for their less-inspired moments.

Both melody and harmony are really simple in this étude... But it's still great, really beautiful, and looks hard to play (at least as Ringeissen does)
