My Persoanl Trainer and Personal Assistant, Andrea, shot this video of me on the exercising my inner thigs (adductor muscles) in the gym, 35-years after I broke my back. When I watched it back I was amazed! Honestly, I exercise with such focus and so intensley that I sometimes miss how well I am doing. Andrea is always telling me I'm getting better at an exercise, but when I watched this video I cried tears of joy. I guess what I'm saying is don't quit....expect success. Where there is life, there is hope.
In my experience, the route to recovery is intensive, daily athletic training/exercise-therapy based on the principles of Neuroplasticity - the concept that brain nerve cells can reorganise and create new neural pathways when presented with new experiences. I'm living proof you really can teach an old paraplegic new tricks.
Please contact me if I can help you to expect success in your healing. www.martinsmiracle.co.uk
