Hey, I think depression around this time of year is common. One of the reasons is that because of the sun's position relative to the earth, we (north Americans) are't getting enough vitamin D. Cardio/Lifting weights can also work wonders for depression, especially if you sweat a lot. I find it helps me out (mentally) quite a bit, the physical benefits kind of go hand in hand with it.

I would say what has been working for me lately is maintaining a strict regiment of to-do's for the day, emphasizing variety amongst everything: social-spiritual-career-enjoyment
There's always things to keep you busy even without money I've found.
