i've already seen a few people (including this man) playing stroh violin with an incorrect left hand position (the palm touched the fingerboard), why is that? is it supposed to be played like that? or did they learn to play it autodidact so they've developed a bad habit?

@Max0Inq Basicly it was originaly made to help amp the sound up so it could be picked up on recording devices.. back then they were to quiet for recording devices to pick up/recording devices weren't as good back then. so good chance old recordings of songs that have a violin in them.. used this version of it :p
