Allie: You don't understand. Before he died he promised to take me riding. That's why I never ride her anymore.
Nat: I know but you were always happiest after riding her. If you want I will ride with you.
Allie: Really?
Nat: For you.

The fact that he would do all this just to get riding and happy again makes me like him even more. He has never ridden a horse before. This is a side of him that I haven't seen in a long time. He put his hand on top of mine. His gentle touch made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. A feeling I can't resist.

Allie: Ok. I'll ride.

He smiled and stood up while still holding my hand. We walked to the doors when I remembered something. I can't leave mom. But I really want to go with Nat. I took out my phone and called mom. Telling her where I was going and that I will see her at home. Nat led me to his car. He put on music playing my favorite song. Love Story by Taylor swift.

Allie: I love this song.
Nat: That's why I put it on.
Allie: How did you know? I don't remember telling you.
Nat: In the hallway I overheard you telling Kristina. That day I added it to my ipod hoping that a moment like this would happen where I get to play it for you.
I smiled a weird smile.
Nat: It sounds corny. I know.
Allie: Still sweet though. You don't like this kind of music.
Allie&Nat: Romeo take me somewhere, we can be alone. I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run. You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess, It's a love story, baby, just say yes.

We sang the whole way to the ranch. When we got there he opened the car door for me. He held my hand and led to me Snow Whites spot. My hands were shaking the whole way. I know that Nat can feel it. He must be ignoring my shaking hands.

The ranch looked exactly the same as it did the last time I was here over a year ago. Nat made a face. It must be the smell. I barely even noticed the smell of the hay and other horses. After coming here so many times I got used to it. Looking around brought back many great moments with my dad. I can see the memories perfectly as if I were watching them happen.

*flashback age 5*
Snow White just got dropped off at the ranch. Allie watched as they moved the pony to her stall. A big smile across her face. The only thing she is thinking about is riding Snow White for the first time. The people who moved her left and Allie ran over to the pony. She brushed her hand across the ponies body. Snow White neighed. She tried to mimic the same noise but it sounded more like the word than a horse.

Paul was watching from the other side of the barn. When he heard Allies noise he laughed. He hasn't seen his daughter this happy since Christmas. From the second she saw the pony she has had that big smile on her face. Which was 2 hours ago when Paul saw a sign that said pony for sale.

He couldn't resist buying it for her. Allie kept begging over and over saying 'Daddy, please. I can take care of her. Please daddy.' Seeing her adorable smile and hearing in her voice how bad she wanted the pony, he couldn't say no to his little girl. He walked over to her and knelt down to her level.

Paul: What do you think of Snow White?
Allie: She's so pretty.
Paul: She is. Do you want to brush her?
Allie started jumping up and down.
Allie: Can I ride her first?
Paul: I don't think you and her are ready yet.
Paul got up and went to find the brush he bought in his car. Allie wrapped her arms around Snow White pressing her entire body against her.
Allie: I will always love you. Forever and ever.
*end of flashback
