Exactly. There is a chilling insensitivity to human life apparent in many comments here. Remember, 24 innocent people lost their lives because SOME US troops went on a revenge rampage after the real insurgents had escaped.

hawzhyn, this movie is based on a true story. It happened ... it's not a stupid hollywood movie. Dozens of innocent women and children were slaughtered by brave marines that day ... and many others.

MARINES CLEARED OF CHARGES
3/17/09 The Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals sitting in Washington DC, released their unanimous decision upholding the dismissal of charges against Marine Lt. Col Jeffrey Chessani for his involvement in the so called Haditha Massacre a massacre that never happened.
In fact, we now know that the story of the massacre that prompted the Haditha prosecutions was a headline in a Time news article instigated by insurgent propaganda operatives.
