Clip of the Thunderbirds, cut like the intro to the movie Snatch. This is just a test I did to see if I could replicate the technique in the movie.
--------------------
Here's how I made the Thunderbirds clip, like the Snatch intro:

1 - insert main clip
2 - pause at point where you want to show pic
3 - hit "split clip here"
4 - take screenshot at that point (pic A)
5 - insert pic A at that point twice, 0.8 seconds apiece
**This is what I did for this video. The actual Snatch intro is faster
6 - make both pics "double speed" which will knock them down to 0.4 seconds apiece
7 - make pic A-1 "ease in" and pic A-2 "ease out"
8 - take a screenshot where pics A-1 and A-2 meet (Pic B)
9 - modify pic B in photoshop, save as Pic C
10 - insert pic C betwen pics A-1 and A-2 for a duration of 2 seconds
