@michael616joaquin it was in the urban review in '68, The Journal of education in '82, They redid the experiment to make it more concrete and get rid of some unintentional variables and was published in The Current Direction of Psychological Science in '94

@smallche1 is it peer reviewed and by what body?
-

-
@smallche1 what studies? by who? name them
-
@michael616joaquin or you can say people fall into that spot because of the stereotype. Studies have shown people will accomplish what you expect them to accomplish. If a teacher expects little from a student odds are that student won't grow much.

I'm so glad that Dr. Dyson brought up the fact that supportive black fathers have ALWAYS been around...many people just were not exposed to it especially people of other races. I'm SO HAPPY HE MADE THAT POINT!

I'm glad Dr Dyson said what he said, because it's not that their aren't any black men like that. It's just the pimp, thug and gangster are more mainstream and out there then other images. My family constantly talked about about politics and history growing up from the time I can remember and I'm glad they did because it shaped me as a person. I'm thankful for all the black men in my life that loved and protected me because without them I wouldn't be the young lady I am today <3 =)
