    @kingconnor69......Actually, Osmosis is the net movement of water molecules from a high concentration to a low concentration over a partially permiable membrane. I also sat a Science exam yesterday!

    I'd say from my experience that actually osmosis is the net movement of solvent molecules through a partially permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in order to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.
