The Senior Gift from the USC Class of 2009 will contribute to the restoration of the Von KleinSmid Center bell-tower carillon. Installed in 1966, the VKC carillon is an instrument consisting of hundreds of bells used to produce music. Once restored, the VKC bell-tower carillon will ring on the hour and can be programmed to play traditional "bell-tower music" along with Trojan classics such as "Fight On!" and "All Hail" on the hour. The senior class gift of a 61-note Maas-Rowe Harp-Celeste instrument will expand the capability of the bells to include popular music, including holiday songs, Broadway classics and contemporary tunes.
