Camp 6 construction was based upon a modern air-conditioned two-story medium-security design modified for maximum security that can accommodate approximately 160 detainees. Camp 6 provides a climate-controlled environment making it easier for the guard force to provide security and improve the living conditions for detainees. Both compliant and non-compliant detainees reside here. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants.
