@basicaa I have read ''Surprised by Joy' by CS Lewis and am halfway through the Screwtape Letters. I will definately make an effort to read Mere Christianity as well. And thanks for your comments.

@basicaa Sorry was'nt quite with it there! It sounds like an interesting read I will look it up. I'm newly saved and filled greatly with the Holy Spirit and I have such a hunger to learn all I can about my Savour, I find it hard to contain myself sometimes so if I sounded a touch naive please forgive me :-)

@TheBabyChristian Yes, I know. It is a rhetorical question -- what I quoted was from the Alister McGrath book, "What Was God Doing on the Cross?" The first part of the book is meant to take the reader into the mind and possible thoughts of an original witness to the cross. An excellent book by a leading n evangelical theologian

@basicaa Hi Basisaa but he did come among us as one of us. Jesus Son of God lived with us and suffered pain and anguish for us and on the cross he redeemed us with his precious blood and when we believe in him and have faith in him we will join him in the Kingdom of God one day hallelujah!
