@CyprusHot You also mention that Leona wears her hair like Mariah. Well, my neice is bi-racial and so is my bestfriend and my husband's nephew, they all have variations of curly hair so no this isn't "like Mariah". I love Mariah, but you don't have to say somebody is copying her because you're in worship denial. Leona is very talented and she studies opera since she was a kid. So what if she's influenced by Mariah. Most singers of today are. Grow up.

@Craverofchocolate What I will say is that most aren't as wild with hand gestures as Mariah, which is why it is a signature for her. If you watch Wanya Morris of Boyz2Men you will see his signature is using the head movement, some press the stomach area and so forth. There are a ton of ways that you can help yourself to stay on key.

@CyprusHot I've sang in choirs from Chicago to California, this is before Mariah was even heard of, and yes, everyone does it. You just recognize it because you've most likely have never had voice lessons. She's not copying. Using the hand is a technique. Some use the hand or some lean in, some use the neck. Watch most of your favorite singers and this will be the case. I've already said it helps with going up and down the key.... Really. SMH

I love Leona. I love how she gets the note wrong at 2:47 then just jumps back into key with some crazy super head voice. Even when she gets it wrong, she gets it right. Go Leona!
