  • Sharp suit Mr Smith, nice car outside as well, I expect ! Smart, orderly little congregation & clearly lots of child like faith...Well since Pentecost 2009, until now at least. Is it just your theology degree or your slick management of theatrical gimmicks & show biz presentation that gets people to lap up what you are presenting? A wonder how many of them ponder the more odious aspects of your view of faith & God? Take, just one, living as a Gay person is an abomination to God? Any response?

  • @1daddyDA - The suit isn't that nice, and neither is the car....but both do the job they were intend for, and I'm sure he's content with that. Other than that, what exactly are you saying !? That the entire congregation is there due to a pastor 'brain-washing' them with 'lies' !? lol

The FACT is that everyone is there to worship an amazing God and I personally thought it was a very good service. If you're REALLY interested in knowing what God thinks of 'gay' people, why don't you simply ask Him ?

  • Lmao! Cambola, the red liquid in the glass trick !? In case you weren't aware, he isn't performing a 'miracle'....He's using our knowledge of chemistry to illustrate a point he was making. This video won't appeal to everyone but your comments are lacking any foundation, yet you mock a person's interpretation of a book which has formed the backbone of our western civilization. The Bible has been round for a long time and he's explaining his interpretation of it. I see nothing wrong with that.

  • @realkrasta Since you listened to this, you'll know that he'd been talking about miracles earlier. By the way, I'm allowed to mock as much as I like (1) because I don't have some religious person/god telling me what to think, and (2) because, against my will, I pay for this stuff to be on the BBC through my TV licence fee. Ironically, you make the claim that my comments are without foundation yet you fail to substantiate yours.

  • @cambola4 You're entitled to your opinion my friend, and I mine. But with regards to the TV license fee. We all pay it, and I know of plenty of other programs being recorded and aired which I don't think benefit anyone, and are a total waste of money. But we're getting off-topic. I'm sorry you weren't able to enjoy the program like so many others were able to. I hope you find something else which your license fee pays for that suits your viewing pleasure.

  • @realkrasta Secondly, the FACT is not that Mr Smith is guilty of brain washing so many people, but rather that, despite the state or otherwise of his dress & car, you busily preach the 'prosperity gospel.' You have Church classes on managing money & worship in a building, with a sound system alone, that, if sold could feed a family for a decade! Your heating & lighting bill alone, could get the plenty of homeless people off the streets & you do a little soup run to salve your consciences!

  • @realkrasta - I know God's got no issues with being openly Gay. However, 'Tony Goddard' the 'Pastoral Manager' of 'KingsGate Community Church, Registered Charity 1106273' comments to a friend of mine through work about Gay Clergy as follows 'Yes – sadly there are some openly homosexual church leaders in the Church of England (can’t quite get my head round that fact – but that’s for them to sort out).' It seems to me that your Church uses the bible to admonish & disapprove, & you're a charity

  • @realkrasta Yep, the football was enjoyable, as is Question Time every week.

  • @realkrasta And, if I may, the fact that the Bible has been around a long time does not mean anything. First, our Western society, our welfare state and laws do not rely on what the bible says. Secondly, why don't you believe in the gods of the Iliad which were around way before the bible and which influenced Greek and Roman life, which in turn influenced Western society? People thought for centuries that the world was flat, but with science and reason we move on, it's how we humans progress.

  • Oh, dear, the cheap trick with the red liquid in a glass. WOW! That is so clever! Thankfully, nothing a little chemistry can't explain, before you get too carried away by his magical powers! Anyway, as a certain Mr Hitchens once said, the best miracle that Jesus performed (if he did in fact do any) was the turning of water into wine! Now, THAT's a trick!
