this show is sexist enough without this scene. good call on cutting it.

I was re-watching this episode today, and remembering the script with the whole Adam and Eve thing, I thought that Kate deep down probably wanted him to stop her.
Imagine my surprise when reading on Lostpedia that Charlie thought so too!
Nice scene, and maybe they shouldnt have deleted it, cause it explains much better why Jack all of a sudden "changed his mind".

What it really means is, Charlie's suggesting that Kate thinks Jack really cares about her, and that if he does he'd tell her not to go rather than just let her go. Charlie's suggesting Kate did it to try to prove Jack loves her.

lol girlz

Charlie isn't saying that because she's a girl she wants to be subservient - he's saying that Kate fancies Jack and wants his approval.

I disagree that it's sexist. There ARE some differences between men and women, not just with anatomy. I'm not trying to get into a full out debate on the issue, but I'm just pointing out that it's really not sexist.
