I'm not a Christian...but I love this song. We sang this to our kids and teens at camp last summer. We were all staff, and there for 2 months straight, out in the woods, living in cabins and covered in bugs and sweat and other nasty crap. We were tired, but we'd sing this to life our spirits up. I may not be religious, but...I know God was there with us, even when many of us felt like giving up.

Great

@TroubadourJuggernaut um no actually all kinds of christian artists sing purely to glorify God, obviously they take some kind of funding otherwise they wouldn't be able to continue, but money is not the main reason most of them sing. and also, yes who cares? your complaining accomplishes nothing, it doesn't hurt the original writer, that's like complaining because "ice ice baby" copied "pressure" it doesn't do anybody any good, so yeah, who really cares?
-
@archmage5245 ....."who cares?" well you might if you were a songwritter and someone else was profitting from your originality....do you think all "worship music" people give all the money from songs / cd's / albums back to the church or to the needy ? not likely....first they line their own wallets quietly.
-
@TroubadourJuggernaut yes i realize this, but what im saying is who cares? using the same tune doesn't hurt the original author, worship music isn't about originality it's about glorifying God.

@GahdeMalprigi1488x joy of Satan? Yes you can follow Satan but all he's going to do is make you happy for a short amount of time then dump you on your but and leave you rotting alone, don't mess yourself up bro, it isn't ever to late.
-
@Chri5flame we believe because we've seen it, i don't know how to explain it, you have to experience it for yourself man, it's kind of like, the feeling of looking for something in your house, you know you just saw it but you can't pinpoint it's location. Christianity really isn't just another "religion" its a personal relationship with God, with Christ.

@archmage5245 , taking an original melody written by someone else and simply changing the words is unoriginal and plaguristic..... "God's" got nothing to do with it.
-
@TroubadourJuggernaut it's not ripping anything off, its taking that melody and using it to glorify God, there is nothing wrong with that.

I love this song! It is a prayer for God to help me be a santuary he lives in. I really like how it says "tried and true". That means put to the test and even though we are tried in the trials of this life, by his grace we will be true to his word. I like it how in St. John the 15th chapter, how Jesus shows us that the branch doesn't bear life of itself, but it abides in the vine. If we will abide in him and his word abides in us we will bear fruit abundantly.
@GahdeMalprigi1488x hey dude. can you not try to advertise satan? because everyone here is a christian. thanks.
