  • Argh, too bad Shulgin is so old already! He would have so much to offer for science if he lived forever :( Maybe if I study hard enough I can continue his research some day...

  • @FizzyWodawg well yeah you're right, it gets converted into psilocin in the liver before it passes the blood-brain barrier...but, psilocin is also a tryptamine compound. if you look at their molecular structures, they're all actually pretty similar to serotonin. DMT is the closest; it's only one atom off from serotonin. psilocin isn't all that different than psilocybin, but both are also pretty similar to serotonin. psilocybin is basically just like...phosphrated DMT

  • @mycelian Taboo is really censorship. Censorship leads to ignorance. Ignorance is where a lot of fear starts. Fear tends to hinder happiness and love. Through discussion and experience understanding can happen and things we know about we don't tend to fear as much. I may not do psychedelics, but I have learned a crap load through research.

    Peace, love and understanding.

  • It's so awesome that the media and social backlash has reduced enough that rational scientific examination of psychedelics can be talked about with a little bit less taboo. The taboos are still pretty strong, but the information like Sasha and Ann are gathering and documenting will still stand once the taboos fall further. Thank you for sharing this educational material for those of us who want spin-less talk!

  • amazing, thoses are my kind of talks
