@Hoppus217 No, just 50% want fame, and to think other wise you are a fool. Just because you are on the other side of the fence with your guitar, totally shunning any level of celeb status, doesnt make the other 50% wrong. They are fullfiling a need. People want someone to look to for some level of inspiration, someone who has had a level of success at something. Are people with jobs 'sellouts' because they work for money? Should they be anti-establishment bums, bucking the status quo? NO!

@Hoppus217 Well, first of all, I wouldnt say that he is a celeb 'without cause'. Janes to Deconstruction to RHCP to The Panic Channel to Camp Freddy, not to mention tons of involement in other albums and projects. Plus Janes is recording right now. Because he keeps himself busy, he is a limelighter? He has no integrity? Yes, for every 10 backup musicians, 5 wish they could, but only 1 can be a limelighter. Someone has to do it. So he shouldnt be allowed to do other things outside of music?

@Hoppus217 Well hey, the way I look at it, he makes alot more money than you do, so he must be doing something right, and I don't see him getting on youtube and commenting on whether or not you are a guitar legend. That being said, I think he used music to get to do what he is really good at, and thats being a celebrity. When the day comes where you are a celeb, you wont care about your quals to hosting a guitar show... you will just do it cus you can.
