My sister...doesn't flour glue dry dark and get flakey? You are very industrious to go through so much work for paste. Ahhh busy as a beaver. I usually use wallpaper paste so I can get all the airbubbles and "wrinkling" out of the paper. But I have mounted much thicker paper than you were using. Love you....ME

I have to try it! Thank you very much for making the videos and showing me how to do this :)

Well, I have tried mounting before because my girlfriend makes Sumi-e paintings on rice paper, and she likes to put them on her wall when she is proud of one. Up to now I have only known how to use silicone paper to stick to the rice paper. It works well, but it is very expensive. So I want to give this paste a try to try and save cost. =)

Thank you for this information. This confirmed my guess. I will continue to show you the paper turn out when it dries.
This is very interesting. Now you explained that it was better to use the flour paste for mounting big paintings since it is softer and won't become dry or stiff, but how does it compare to the standard white paste?

I have never used standard white paste, so I can not make comparison. Making my on paste is least expensive and taking the most time, with such a small cost to produce such a big advanture, I feel more worthy. lol

I see. Well you've certainly persuaded me to give this paste a try. I will be sure to tell you how I do with it. Thank you.

Why do you make it? Do you mount rice paper? How big will you mount? I am all ears to your news.
