Note: I didn't really sing this, obviously. It's performed by a group of men who are very very talented. I just found the group that sang it and their group name is Acoustix. I love these guys!

"I've always wonder what it would be like to sing a cappella... with myself."

Irish Lullaby (Toora Loora Loora)
Over in Kilarney, many years ago,
My mother sang a song to me, in tones so sweet and low,
Just a simple little ditty in her good old Irish way,
And I'd give the world if she could sing that song to me, this day

Toora, loora, loora,
Toora, loora, li,
Toora, loora, loora,
Hush, now don't you cry...

Toora, loora, loora.
Toora, loora, li,
Toora, loora, loora,
That's an Irish lullaby...

Oh, I can hear that music,
I can hear that song,
Filling me with memories of a mother's love, so strong,
It's melody still haunts me,
These many years gone by
Oh I'll toora, loora, loora
Until the day I die...

  • In case you'd like to lip sing like this again, people with training tend to lift the chin when singing a lower note it is both easier and better for your voice. Lowering the chin while singing so low in a persons register can be quite painful and constricts the airflow.

  • @AngeCous I will keep that in mind. That's good advice, thank you.

  • He did not do this!!!!!! it is by a barbershop quartet!

  • @MrDonalfenton It says that in the notes.

  • Uhm...... Dude. Not to be a prick... But I have this CD by the Accoustix. This is definitely a four part harmony. And I've played the CD a trillion times. I'm 99% sure this isn't you and this is the Accoustix.... Sorry. Lol.

  • @daCAPten Dude, not to be a prick but you might be a prick. It says that in the notes. I only found out after I did the video that it was a four part harmony. Sorry. Lol. *face palm*

  • @HitMeWithIt But, Barbershop is not always sung in a quartet. There are entire Barbershop choruses (choirs), though they all sing four-part harmony. ;)

  • @jaihare Also I'd guess, the nature of a 'Quartet' ;)

  • @sweetadaliner I understand your sentiment but...

he could always answer: 'Why not?' and that would be acceptable to me.

You see I am planning to sing a version like the way they sing it and I couldn't find the words written down until this video. Therefore there is at least ONE person happy this was done! also another excuse to listen to it again for me! ;)

    THANKS...

  • Okay...so we got the point that you didn't sing it...so why record it to look as though you did??? Seriously, that's why you're getting the comments and couldn't expect any less!

  • Idiots ^ please read

  • when they drop deep in that one part where they sing "its melody still haunts me"... i get chills every time and it makes my eyes water... without doubt every time... amazing

  • @Rodan2000 So ya know - all Barbershop is four part. That's the nature of the musical style. ;)

  • Bravo! Warms da cockles of ma heart! Thank you :)
