The Jews did not just arrive from Europe. There is a section of Tel--Aviv called the "Yemenite Torture." Jews from Yemen left there in the 1880's, the same time they started to arrive from Russia. Yemen at that time was a part of the Ottoman Empire, just like Palestine. The reason why Jews left Yemen is because they were terrorized by Turkish soldiers who wanted wine. So they left one part of the Ottoman Empire, to go to another. So they did not just arrive from Europe.
