In this 1974 recording, Hans Kalafusz performs the second movement (Adagio) of Bach's E major violin concerto, BWV 1042. Kalafusz is joined by the South German Chamber Symphony of Stuttgart (also known as the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester or the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1945 by Karl Münchinger). I created this video from the double album, "Johann Sebastian Bach: The Four Violin Concerti," issued in 1974 by the Musical Heritage Society, serial number MHS 1969/70. You can review the Library of Congress electronic catalog entry for this recording here: http://lccn.loc.gov/74750572.
