Creationists just don't get it. Could you imagine a person walking into a garage as the mechanics were discussing spark plugs, and the fella who walks in overhears this, and insists that spark plugs don't exist, and it's baby dragons living in your engine that creates the sparks that fire the gas? The mechanics would laugh in the idiot's face, and the guy then tells them their cars will all burn in the driveway for angering the papa dragon. That is what people of faith look like to me.

Endogenous Retroviruses (ERVs) are the relics of ancient viral infections preserved in our DNA. The odd thing is many ERVs are located in exactly the same position on our genome and the chimpanzee genome. Either it is an unbelievable coincidence that viruses just by chance inserted in exactly the same location in our genomes, or humans and chimps share a common ancestor. It was our common ancestor that was infected, and we both inherited the ERVs.

It is important to understand the ideas of materialism/naturalism are limited to the physical domain. This means that as scientists we should and must limit our study to what can be witnessed in the natural world. How would we address something in the supernatural realm? If it is supernatural by definition it does not manifest in the physical world and we cannot utilize it explanation of natural phenomenon. Please understand that DNA does not imply intelligence nor requires it.

If creationism shouldn't be taught or implied in the science classroom - then neither should materialism/naturalism, but it is !!

Most scientists believe they can explain everything about origins without invoking the need for a supernatural intelligence. That is a metaphysical belief, not science.

Why not teach that the presence of an information-carrying code such as DNA implies intelligence ? Name any other source for complex digital information other than intelligence.

"America is a free country because it was founded by Christians"

    - Actually it was founded by the natives. The Christians just came over and began a bloody invasion. Evil, evil Christians.

"Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness are Christian values. "

    - Sacrifice, loyalty, and forgiveness are the Christian values. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness are Buddhist values.

"Tell me what intrinsic values come from atheism."

    - The exact same values that come from theism. None.

you are the one who seems afraid, I don't need an imaginary friend to go through life. I am just tired of biggots and ignorants who claim they speak to gods all the time and declare war on anybody who does not believe in the same invisible supernatural being, or worse, on the ones who do not have any beliefs in fairy tales. Remember the 11th commandement: "Thy shall keep thy religion for thyself". Thank you

    "Way to rewtire history."

Coming from somebody who thinks the world is only 6000 years old and that evolution never happened, you refuse to accept that 99.999956% of history even happened.

America is a free country because it was founded by Christians. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness are Christian values. Tell me what intrinsic values come from atheism. You are some of the angriest, opinionated people I have ever come in contact with. Evolution is NOT accepted fact everywhere, there are creation organizations in every country on the planet. You're the minority. Scientific fact is not a democratic, it takes is one person to turn science on its head.
