Hey Ex-Grasshoppers!

Here's another video for all you Glock owners out there.

The second in a 3-part series, on what I consider essential upgrades to any Glock, is installing the Extended Slide Release.

Check out last week's video on Installing the Extended Slide Lock Lever, and be alerted with the NMG newsletter when the Extended Magazine Release video is up.

So, why do you NEED the Extended Slide Release? Because it makes it SO much easier to release the slide, of course. The extended piece has a raised knob like piece that allows you to release the slide without having to take your eyes off your target.

This can be a critical advantage in combat, defensive or competetive situations.

The stock slide release is only a small square piece with several grooves cut into it. It can be difficult to apply the appropriate amount of force to release the slide in quick reload situations.

This Extended Slide Release solves that problem, and installation is simple and quick.

If you have any questions after the video. Don't hesitate to email me at Scott@NoMoreGrasshoppers.com

  • Thanks for the comment :) I will be posting the extended mag release video very soon. I have a titanium guide rod, and I am very pleased with it.

What kind of trigger mod were you considering?

  • VERY EASY WOW!! GLOCK SHOULD MAKE THESE ALREADY ATTACHED TO THE WEAPON, MAINLY FOR PEOPLE WITH BIG HANDS..

  • nice video... thanks!

  • IF YOU USE THE CORNER OF THE GLOCK TOOL THAT WILL SET THAT PIN TO THE RIGHT SPOT EVERY TIME ... THATS WHAT IT IS MADE FOR AND YOU DON'T NEED A HAMMER IF YOU REMOVE THE LOCKING BLOCK FIRST THEN THE TRIGGER PIN NEXT AND THEN YOU PUT THE LOCKING BLOCK PIN BACK IN FIRST THEN THE TRIGGER BACK IN LAST .. THE LOCKING BLOCK PIN IS THE FIRST OUT AND THE FIRST BACK IN ..

AND YOU DRIVE THEM OUT FROM THE LEFT AND REINSTALL THEM FROM THE RIGHT ... HOPE THAT HELPS OUT

  • Excellent video! I just ordered an extended mag release, slide release, and slide lock lever for my 3rd Gen. Glock 19. As well as a recoil buffer and grip plug.

What else do you recommend doing? I was thinking about a stainless recoil rod and a trigger mod.
