Barbaro was a great horse, I was there during his KY Derby race and I watched him during the Preakness race. My sister was with me, and we were hoping they wouldnt race him after he had his false start, we knew something was wrong with him. Sadly, his injury, as well as the one Eight Belles had are a result of inbreeding to get the fastest horses we can. Disgusting really, the horses are paying for our greed with their lives.

He should be remembered for his heart, beauty, courage and most of all his amazing will to live. He was a wonderful horse not just a race horse and was loved by many especially his owners. For anyone who has lost a horse the pain is great....animals love unconditionally unlike people and well there will always be controversy over horse racing there should be none over what an incredible animal and athelete he was.

nice video :) such a shame he died he didnt hve to die horse racing is cruel and should just be stopped its ridiculous i watched emergancy vets n a race horse was on it it hadbeen backed at one raced for a year thn thy said it wasnt fast enuff a woman baught it n it had to b put dwn its just sick yet another horse life ruined thru racing :(

I hate this deviding people - animals. Yes, its animal..animals wanna live like people..and often they are better than people..And Barbaro died for people:/ Im from Czech..and many horses died in Velká Pardubická race..i ride horse all my life..and Im so sad for these poor horses:/
