Now that it's so easy to remove seats in so many vehicles, I think it would be a great idea to make it easy to use those comfortable seats once they're out of the van. If there were little sleds to clip on the bottom, where they usually attach to the chassis, you could sit around at a game, picnic, or the beach and even rock back and forth if you made the sleds tilted. It's not an expensive add-on to produce and would allow the Caravan to be much more of an outdoor vehicle. Here's a sloppy commercial mock up to show how you could pitch the idea. I'd love to hear what people think, especially minivan owners.

  • The video only lasts about two minutes. The song just plays out over black for the remaining time.

  • i had a 97 dodge caravan that i would take the bench seats out and use them as couches when we had a local band playing out doors at a monthly event in my town, all my friends would crowd around n shit, tryin to get a seat. i even got in the news paper bout it (picture and small part) when the news did a story over the annual show...

  • My Seats don't come out. I have the stow n go seating.

  • the mirrors are closer than they appear.

  • yay i wish i was there! next time i'll steal those seats!

  • i have an 02 odyssey and always when i go to tailgate parties, i flip the third row bench to make it face towards the outside and not the front of the car. It's very useful. Im not sure if the caravan can do it but i think it can

  • I clipped mine onto a sheet of plywood using bolts running through L-brackets. Sleds would be a good idea.

  • I went to a bbq and pulled the seats out. Great idea and comfortable for a good five folks to eat. Even used the fold up one as a table with the cup holders. Sure does need something like this sled to keep them from tipping. I had to dig the clips into the grass and bet that can't be good for them.

  • I already use the benches from my 1990, Make an L-Cough using the 3 and 2 seater =D

Dog was using the 2 seater for a few months in the house, worked out nice if you can keep it from tipping
