  • Looks like it was a ringland which turned into breaking the skirt. I'd say they're damn lucky the rod didn't get loose, the engine is probably salvageable with an overbore and new pistons, probably forged would be a good idea if you don't want to see that happen again. Subaru pistons are notorious for losing ringlands, even the turbo ones.

I'm a 21 year old self taught mechanic, built 3 subaru engines, working on my 4th right now and still have quite a bit to learn. Trolling is not appreciated.

  • @bassbone1785 Your analysis is spot on. The plan is to bore it and stroke it with EJ20G heads.

  • How the hell did you do that..?

  • @Ryoukun16 Spent a little too much time on the redline.

  • @bassbone1785

  • closed deck block... How much boost were you running?? Is that an old school 2.2L???

  • I'm sorry, but that's hilarious. That poor Subaru haha

  • lol thats in his living room

  • normal wear

  • @cryptology Fun stuff, I've got a similar setup with (EJ22t stroker) EJ251 heads with Delta 1500s, collecting the last few things and should hopefully have a running build by the first of the year. What turbo are you going to run on it?

  • looks legit, put heads back on and roll hard lol

  • @christhetromboneguy It shows that you are 14 and not a mechanic. lol, the video is a joke. They are more than aware that there is a serious problem. Unless of course. you are... a... TROLL! The game.

  • the second piston is titlted

  • ARE YOU GUYS FUCKIN KIDDING??? that motors fucked man..that will fuck up the head and you will get no compression on that piston...replace it and hone the cylinder..piston slap my ass thatll fuck your engine in the ass, im a 14 year old mechanic guys, come on use common sense

  • thats normal.. just lower compression for MORE BOOST!!!

  • Oh that? That's just piston tilt... comes like that from the factory, emissions purposes. ;)

  • Nah, nothing wrong with a little piston slap... Put the heads back on and slap a bigger turbo on!

  • oops! ;)
