Hideo Kojima - MGS Bleemcast - Games Convention 2008

Mastermind Hideo Kojima signed my copy of the Bleemcast, a pretty rare (and not official of course) software which enables to play orginal playstation version of Metal Gear Solid on the Dreamcast - in high resolution, with texture filtering and anti-aliasing... in my opinion, the best classic Metal Gear Solid experience one can imagine...
He was pretty amused seeing this stuff,
at first I thought he'd refuse to sign this for me, but all went good as you see... and he even shook my hand!
A thrilling experience!!!

SO RARE..how can I play bleemcast ?? If I order a DreamCast somewhere online, where should I search for the disc ?? It's just load bleem, load ps1 game and play enhanced ??

Yes. your only chance is to look around on ebay.. sometimes, just sometimes people sell these discs. and while you don´t need to buy games for dreamcast (the console plays backups without any modifications), you'll have to buy bleemcast - the only piece of software impossible to crack. There's also bleemcast for Tekken 3 - which looks awesome too!

Get the Dreamcast, you won't regret - a great arcade console, way ahead of its times!!

that is sweet! The first time I played MGS was on the Dreamcast. I only wished that I had a Castlevania save file! hahaha

@64m30v3r The emulator was cracked in December 2009, all the Bleem! retail boot disc's are cracked now and it was all done by a VERY smart Russian fellow names Patriot.

Anyway, you can now burn the emulators and a backup of the original PSX games and they work great! Looks better than PS1 games do on ps2, psp or PS3!

Heve you seen the 'Bleemed' PS1 games on Dreamcast? They use a buggy version of bleem, and ALL are riddled with awful gfx bugs. The best version of MGS is Twin Snakes. It looks fantastic on the Gamecube. They recently cracked (yeah, loooong time coming!) the Bleemcast specific version for Gran Turismo 2, so MGS, and Tekken 3 should follow fairly soon I'd say? I have all three of the official Bleem specific releases, but may sell them now as there going to be fairly worthles shortly!
