  • I don't get it. No cameras can be seen on any of the other cars on the racetrack? And why put cameras on 1/18 scale instead of 1/10?

  • @nowheretosit - all the other cars were driven normally/remotely, not with onboard camera. Even the camera car usually was driven normally and we just collected the onboard footage and had fun watching it later. Our setup did provide real-time video so it did allow us to drive by camera, but if we wanted to elaborate on that we'd add some head tracking to it. Eventually I do hope to get all cars racing fpv with head tracking but for now we are working on other things.

  • @nowheretosit - To make an identical track except proportioned for 1/10th scale would require almost 4 times more space as well as a lot more materials and time. That's what I like about 1/18th scale - the M18 by Xray has almost all of the quality and accurate handling as 1/10th scale vehicles, and can be outfitted with similar high-tech electronics like PC programable speed controls and digital servos, yet can be raced in much smaller areas, thus facilitating much more creative race tracks.

  • where can i get one

  • @beyblade321able - If you are asking about the cars, see harnoishobby website links page, there are links to websites that sell the Xray m18. If you are asking about the DVD, harnoishobby website, products page.

  • where can i get one, and how much do these cost?

  • @mhflies - The cars are around 220 at least in ready-to-run form, but you can spend a lot more depending on how you configure it, and it's worth doing so if racing. Look on the harnoishobby website, links page, teamxray website, and maybe amainhobbies website, or google xray m18, and check for used ones on ebay. They are most fun if you can get your friends to race with you!
