Yes, that would be one and the same Brookings Institution, not "insitute".

Another interesting connection that was pointed out to me by user racerxj220 is that the Brookings Institution were commissioned by NASA to publish the famous "Brookings Report" titled "Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs" which outlines the motives for government suppression of a discovery of extraterrestrial intelligence.

Nothing to do with 9/11, but it's an interesting side note that touches on the power and influence of this institution.
