  • My God, Robby, I love this. I love your descriptive words--they're very carefully selected. The way you just described watercolor was my favorite part and I had to listen twice to hear anything else just because it sent my head spinning about watercolor painting (a process I miss, I haven't done a watercolor painting in a LONG time...I'm gonna have to pick it up and do that again soon!)

  • Just great description in here--all those images speak perfectly of grade school life. You can really paint a tactile recollection that is worth remembering. I'm so glad you are writing and sharing.

  • Robby, this is awesome! I have always loved the short story format, so it's great to hear this!

I agree with 2ruby, your descriptions are really nice. The imagery of the memories is very compelling and easy to relate to. By the way, v8 is the best!

  • The power of your stories is in the detail. we can relate to them and you paint them so well that we are there. You don't just mention the smell of rain, but the rain spraying through your grandmother's screen door. Loved that line. I often despair that kids today don't seem to see the world with the wonder that we used to and you certainly captured that. This video was a treat because you also gave one of your wonderful music reviews at the end. A double treat!

  • I agree with Ron, the imagery in this is particularly beautiful.

  • Its amazing what memories come from smells.

Really cool story Robby, once again you send me to bed with a warm calm feeling.

    take care bud.

  • amazing writing robby! what a beautiful depiction of autumn and i love how you described the simplistic beauty of childhood. music is a great inspiration. i will check out that song :)
