  • just quit caffeine Sunday

    Monday i felt sluggish

Tuesday Mega Headache (felt like a hangover)

    Tuesday night-lil headache

    Wednesday- feel perfect

cold turkey sucks, but it's over in 3 days

  • One symptom that they don't mention is depression. I was addicted to caffeine (coke and coffee) and was drinking at least 3 cups/day. When I stopped "cold turkey" I not only experienced headaches and muscle pain, but also went into a deep depression for a week. I could not stop crying and I just wanted to sleep through life. It wasn't until later that I realized it was because of caffeine withdrawal. I will never start drinking caffeinated beverages again!

  • @puppiesxsunshine I feel just like you! lol I'm soo slugish for almost a week.... I just feel like sleeping. :p

  • @MormonManUtah Oh I hear you on that. I had been taking 1MR for a while. Never really cycled off in between containers. At one point (I am on meds for anxiety) the benefits of the supplement just didn't outweigh what it was doing to my anxiety. So I stopped, cold turkey. Since then I have not had any headaches (then again I usually never get them), but I have been tired, yawning, depressed, in the morning my anxiety is almost too much to handle. FML

  • I quit cocaine, coffee, and smoking for a week and was like, sobriety is great, but Im bored.

  • The cravings never stop

  • There are a host of herbs and supplements one can take to nourish their body to eliminate the need for caffeine. I encourage everyone to research it.

  • Watch out for pre-workout drinks! I just discovered that 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine is actually another name for Caffeine. It is found in many pre-workout drinks. I have been using "Power Pump 7" for about 2 years and quitting cold turkey is hell. My lower back is out and I feel like a zombie. They do not list the mg of 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine however they do state on the bottle it is 2 servings (in a very small bottle). They know they are creating Caffeine addicts for their profit.

  • I've been drinking coke non-stop for about five years and then quit cold turkey a 2-months ago. The whole recovery process took me all these two months.

Aside from the physical symptoms I got, the worst was anxiety. It was pretty bad the first couple of weeks and sometimes, it came with a tinge of depression. I never felt suicidal though, and I am thankful for that.

  • Doctors are not addiction specialists but they claim otherwise - the advice given in this video will make it harder not easier to quit,

  • im trying to but i need it for working out, it makes me have such better workouts!!:(

  • ugh I HATE THIS FEELING. Im 15 years old and last night was about my third cup of coffee i have ever had in my life and after a while I just feel really weak and i get feelings of throwing up. this is terrible ive never felt like this but i HATE it
