They need to fix the import..... Why can't picasa import pictures and put it in a folder by date taken.... like iphoto or many other programs

I love (and use) google's tools. But this is WRONG!
1. Our computers, mobile phones are multitasking. Human being is not!
WRONG workflow. It's bad idea to import photos and publish at the same time. 1st Import, 2nd Publish.
2. Picasa (IMHO) standouts from other Google tools with not intuitive Interface.

You can import to any folder you like in Picasa 3.5. You do not need to create a folder each time you import. To use an existing folder, in the Import window, clear the Folder title field. In the Import to: field, click Choose, then pick any folder you like.

I agree. It is missing option to import to an existing folder or to create a folder automatically - for example based on day or month of every imported photo.
Because of the limitations I do not use Picasa to import photos from my camera.

Love Picasa, but it's lame that you have to create a folder each time you import something..
