As for Civil Rights, instead of denying that what I'm saying is wrong, you rather point at possible abuses of power regarding national security measures undertaken by a bi-partisan Congress and the Bush White House to defend against further terrorist attacks following 9/11... which worked.
As for freedom of speech, of opinion and a free press the left is horrendous and totally fascistic; from the 90% sold-out media, Hollywood and universities to PC to the "fairness doctrine" crushing dissent.

Yeah Obama (that includes his campaign staff) used the race card on several occasions for strategic political gain during the campaign, to hurt opponents and to intimidate dissent. The first instance was against Bill Clinton, the first black President, and reason why there is probably going to be a significant rift between the Obamas and the Clintons for a while at least. Then again against "the opposition" when he said "they'll tell you I'm black." Liberals love the race card.

Patriot - I don't mean to keep getting into it with you, but Civil Rights? Where have you been the last 8 years? We're wiretapping military officers calling home to have "naughty talk" with their wives.
When have you heard anyone on the Obama team call someone "racist"? He's like Jackie Robinson, he's going out of his way to avoid that stuff.

Obama definitely has a strong Liberal mandate. During the campaign, the GOP and most of MSM repeated over and over that Obama was The Most Liberal Senator. Despite those "dire" warnings, America went ahead and elected him by a landslide. That definitely gives him a mandate.
BTW, he's a lot more moderate than most people think. Liberals are worried that he's not going to pull out of Iraq fast enough, that he's not going to go full tilt into an FDR new deal, etc.

Thank God for the 1st Amendment and Fox News... resist liberal fascism and Marxist censorship of dissenting political points-of-view, they will use the "hate" and "race" cards to try to impose the leftist dream of a "unitary opinion" where anyone who thinks differently is somehow silenced, punished or ostracized as something bad... i.e. racist, hateful, lying, you name it.
