quick question
If one goes to confession and is quite sincere but leaves and the guilt remains that mean you have to go back to confession
MrShyjohn 8 months ago
@MrShyjohn Quick answer; you are using the word "guilt" wrongly - you are talking about FEELING guilty, not guilt. If you go to confession and sincerely confess, your sins are forgiven - how you FEEL has no impact on your objective guilt or forgiveness. The sacraments exist because human feelings and emotions are suspect - we cannot judge holiness or sinfulness on how we FEEL about something (some people feel it is okay to commit certain sins - they don't FEEL guilty - but they are still sins)

Thank you for the posting. I am glad to see positive remarks about the Archbishop given the amount of calumny and mockery that he has had to suffer. May we all pray for him and other faithful bishops who have to carry such burdens...and be like the Cyrenian and help to bear such crosses with them.

Archbishop Burke is THE MAN! He is the sort of Bishop which we need today, when everything in the world seems to be against Catholicism. God bless Archbishop Raymond Burke!

What calumny has he had?

The former Archbishop of Saint Louis (he has now been moved to the Vatican) often speaks out on many issues. I think the "calumny" refers to the things many non-Catholics have said about him, some of which were very hateful and cruel, and totally unjustified about this very holy man of God.
