  • It's as though the music was *made* for your skill in calligraphy. Very inspiring, relaxing... and yet... so beautiful to behold. :)

  • @madscientist90 Thank you. I chose the music to promote Chinese music.

  • Do you have a video for Na?

  • @bobbiewwilson Yes. It's in the playlist of Basic Strokes.

  • @artvirtue thanks for the info. it's interesting to know there are so many kinds of cures in ancient times. Rgds

  • @cristobelle56 Yes, the reindeer horns are used for men's strength. Even some ingredients of Chinese ink sticks of ancient times were used to cure.

  • @artvirtue oh ok, those are sample characters, thanks. The ox horn/bone paperweight reminds of something used to help cure some ailment - the reindeer horn/antler ? Sorry going out of topic ! We are learning about calligraphy here. Rgds

  • @cristobelle56 The videos with the titles "samples" or "sample characters" have randomly selected characters which are not idioms or phrases unless otherwise stated.

According to ForbiddenCity2008 where I got that paperweight, it's ox horn (or bone?) and the owner told me it's getting difficult to import to the U.S. because of animal protection laws.

  • Hello, would appreciate if you let me know what "xin lang bi" means ? I have noted the individual meaning of each word from yr dictionary but can't make out the idiom. Can I also know what the paper weight is made of ? Jade or another type of stone? Regards
