DigInfo: http//:movie.diginfo.tv - How much the side blind spot can be reduced has a lot to do with improving driving safety. Ichiko Industries, a leading manufacturer of automotive accessories specializing in lamps and mirrors, has developed a technology that uses multiple highly direction al infrared lasers built into the door mirror housing. A pulsed laser is emitted to constantly monitor the side blind spot. When a vehicle or motorcycle gets into the blind spot as the driver changes lanes or executes a turn, a red LED light is flashed to alert the driver. The technology does not detect all objects that get into the blind spot. Thanks to its precise filtering control mechanism, it does not respond to traffic signs, electric poles, or oncoming vehicles.
