I'm a spurs fan so I idolised him during his time there, and I've never met him, but I must admit he did always come across as a bit too full of himself and above the ordinary supporters as you say, I could be totally wrong of course.
That would have been up there with the greatest ever goals i.m.o. and the shot was going in aswell, if not for a spectacular finger tip save by Nigel Martyn. That game also included a Ginola 30yard volley goal and a Sicknote 40yard bullet!

this attempt is similar to the goal George best scored in early 70"s, apart from George ran from opposite side!

@MrLilsam But you lost!?! LOL - If I were you, considering you lost anyway, I would've been pleased to see one of the greatest goals of all time (if it had gone in)! Anyway, the two Spurs scored weren't bad, and Ginola got one!
