in times of slightly raised temperature/humidity my 5 month old Acer 1810TZ becomes utterly unusable within minutes :(

the screen starts to flicker mildy which quickly progresses to wildly as you can see in the video...

unfortunately it looks like it's a hardware problem :(

  • @rnbrady2 it stopped doing this a couple of weeks after posting this video, and hasn't done it since! very odd... looking at some other videos it seems it might a problem with the cable that goes from the mainboard to the LCD

  • @MrRicheee Thanks. It improved for long enough that I could flash the BIOS from v1.3308 to v1.3310 but this didn't help (I suspected it wouldn't, it was a very long shot). The characteristics seem to point to something mechanical so I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about the cable.
