  • 1:37-1:51 Did anyone else find this point in the movie to be just plain touching?

  • @ToxicWitchling you definately hit the nail on the head!

  • I don't get why everyone is so upset about Quasi not getting Esmeralda. I think Esmeralda represented love for Quasi in the form of finally being accepted. She was he first one to do so. The whole point of the movie is not for Quasi to find his true love, it is to be accepted for who he is. In the end, that's what he finally gets.

  • man the cutes moment is when quasi is scard to walk in the licht and than esmeralda helps him and when heys out that little girl comes and give him a big hug ^-^

  • I get what everyone means about Esmeralda being paired off with Phobeus, it does kind of make you think that only attractive people get together but I think it kind of denotes a sense of reality to the film. I mean in the book it's not quite so sugar coated at the end but I feel with Esmeralda choosing Phobeus over Quasimodo it makes us aware of Disney being adult with us, the good guy doesn't win everything and life's hard. It makes Quasi even more likeable for how well he takes it in the end.

"...and a little child shall lead them..."

  • @Stevie2Sxc Actually, I think the lesson was that he wasn't really in love with her, he just wanted to think someone was accepting him for who he was finally.

  • @Stevie2Sxc yeah...it still makes me sad :/

  • @lisapoutre well it IS a Disney movie. They needed an arbitrary "they lived happily ever after" ending, so it only made sense for the two most attractive members of the cast to be randomly paired up together at the end.

  • @Stevie2Sxc exactly! i mean, Phoebus was a jerk in the book, and no one got Esmeralda in the book...so why did she end up with the rugged blond? that's my only issue with the movie.
