@andy91091 The Barayev-FSB connection is not at all unprooven. There was a prominent russian soldier who was a bodyguard for high ranking russian army officials in Chechnya who witnessed two incidents where Barayev was meeting with the FSB, the russians tried to kill him 4 times after he reported what he saw, he eventually fled russia. Also Barayev was killed in his own house, in which he lived openly during the whole second war, the house was next to the FSB headquarters for 3 years they didnt

@churchbigbang I agree with you but the reason why they won't let Chechnya go, to me, is because it would be considered a defeat and a huge blow to their ego. They think it will make them look weak in the eyes of the world. That's just my opinion though.

Why won't the Russians just let the Chechens go? It looks like it is and will cost Russian money which could be used for All Russia and other Republics who are actively want to be part of Russian Federation? The only thing is, border between Chechnya and Russia must be fortified. Evacuate all Pro Ethnic Chechen, Russian and other Pro Russian minorities to Russia and ask all the Chechens within Russia to leave if they are pro-chechen or anti Russia. What sadness. For both sides man. Peace!

@chechengerz It counts as an independent republic thats within Russia territory,it has a level of auntonomy but its still part of Russia and must abide by Russian law,therefor Chechnya is Russia,thus Chechnya was not invaded(Order was just trying to be restored).

The russian invided the caucasus which was a turkic territories , all the chechen are more turkic than slave as the russian thats why they want they indepence but caucasus is full of oil ; i dont htink russia will allow that
