Krik Krak's haunting soundtrack and shocking scenes draw viewers into a startlingly surreal, impressionistic journey through Haiti's impoverished world. It's people, armed with magical traditions and a rebellious past —in an elusive freedom quest— confront bloody despots and spiritual control.
What is the title of that song from the beginning and the end, Freedom Freedom since I have never seen you before I do not really know what to look for . . . Is there some place that you know of where that song is available for purchase or download?
The title of the song is "Freedom Bound", it was composed by Haitian poet Jean Claude Martineau, perfomed by Haitian singer Martha Jean Claude. It was composed for the film. It's not available at this time.
No, the film came out in 1988, long before the book. The spelling of Krik Krak with K came out of our investigation in the phonetics of Creole. Prior to this Krik Krak was spelled Crik Crac. We'll be releasing Krik Krak in DVD soon.
