Melting Styrofoam with Nail Polish Remover (Scientific Experiment)

Today we are doing some fun and cool scientific experiment! We are melting styrofoam cups and styrofoam with Pure Acetone which is Polish Remover. We start of by just melting styrofoam, then move into cup tower, and finally melting 20 styrofoam cups!!!

Just make sure to do it outside or some area because the acetone smells. Maybe have a fan on, also wear gloves. I wouldn't recommend touching that stuff, if you do just quickly wash your hands. Just be careful, you are messing with chemicals.

Supplies Needed:
- Bowl
- Styrofoam or Styrofoam Cups
- Pure Acetone (Beauty Sally)

It was pretty fun seeing the styrofoam go down and later messing with the gooey stuff. Also, I took the gooey stuff outside in like 20 degree weather and it started to freeze :) Turned into a ball.

I did this by mistake with gasoline. I was burning some branches and I needed to pour some gas on it to get it going again, I wanted to pour some in a cup so I didnt have to hold the gas can over the fire, well the only thing I had was a styrofoam cup and well you can guess what happened next lol
