"Look at how clean this images are" yeah... thats more depending on the electrophoresis not on the mashine takin the pictures.
And if this guy really messes this hard with bradford, then he really needs this thing...

No academic lab is going to buy this equipment just to stain gels. With the money spent on this I had rather buy other useful stuff like, sensitive x-ray films, antibodies or even best hire a research staff who wouldn't mind spending 2 1/2 hours to stain a gel....

The gels might run it two and half minutes, but the resolution is crap. One of their reps did a demo in our lab. The resolution was inferior to the regular NuPage gels that we use right now.

nobody needs this. Sure it is nice and all,but think of the cost. Grant money is precious, who can afford to waste money on this for no reason?With the money you waste on unnecessary things like this you could hire an additional graduate student. That is productivity.

More like Westerns are sooo last year. This thing might have been useful 15 years ago, but without a stain you can't cut out the bands for mass spec
