Jordan Liberty recreates his signature editorial smoky eye on model Farah Zulaikha. This is the perfect smoky eye to bring out BROWN or HAZEL eyes, but can be tailored for green and blue eyes by simply changing the darker shadow color (see below). Emmy Rossum rocked an eye like this on "Watch What Happens! Live" on 1/26/12, a perfect example of how this color combo can work on many skin tones! This video features 3 new products: Smashbox BB Cream, Smashbox "Be Legendary" Lipsticks, and Sephora Prisma Chrome Eyeshadows.
All videos are in HD format and look fantastic full screen! As always, these videos were designed to be easily recreated, so the instructions are written on the screen and can be paused as you apply. Here is the full product listing:
Smashbox BB Cream SPF35 applied with fingertips. This product serves as primer, tinted moisturizer, an oil-controller, and SPF - great for those of you who don't like a lot of steps and prefer a more natural look!
MakeUpForEver HD Concealer with Smashbox #4 Concealer Brush or fingertips.
Smashbox "Gingersnap" Blush Rush with Stilazzi Powder Brush.
Smashbox PhotoFinish Lid Primer with #4 Concealer Brush or fingertips.
Smashbox "Onyx" Limitless Liner Pencil with Bobbi Brown Eye Liner Brush.
Sephora "Sapphire Shine #30" Prisma Chrome Eye Shadow with Smashbox #15 Definer (Bullet) Brush. You can replace this with any number of shadows to create a completely unique version of this look.
Smashbox "Champagne" Shadow with Stilazzi Large Shadow Brush. This color now only comes in a trio, so just look for a satin shadow that is lighter than your skin tone - like Urban Decay's "X" shadow, for example.
Smashbox "Midnight Black" Jet Set Liner with #21 Angled Liner Brush.
Smashbox "Full Exposure" Mascara.
Ardell #120 Lashes. We use the white glue for videos, but the dark glue saves time.
Smashbox "Primrose" Be Legendary Lipstick. "Nylon Nude" will create a true nude look on lighter tones, while "Honey" will create a true nude for medium and deep tones.
Smashbox "Pop" Lip Enhancing Gloss and Stilazzi Lip Brush. This gloss is a kit ESSENTIAL item.
To make this look LIGHTER, simply skip step 5 and continue as normal. Swapping the shadow used in step 6 can make the look more neutral, or better suited for blue and green eyes. For a more NEUTRAL smoky eye, try a dark gray or taupe in place of the sapphire shadow. For BLUE eyes, try a deep bronze or warm cabernet shadow. For GREEN eyes, go for a dark khaki or amethyst/plum shadow.
You can do this look with any color! This channel is all about technique and we encourage you to make this look your own!

Keep up the awesome work! Gorgeous makeup, gorgeous model, gorgeous clothes(I want her whole outfit), great music, like other people have said its great that you write the steps in a box as you are doing them. I am totally using the tips to make this compatible for my green eyes, I cannot find a blue eyeshadow that looks good on me to save my life though I love it on others.
