the answer to govt is more govt. it's nonsensical. i need healthcare just as much as the next guy, but i am not the responsibility of all americans, and all americans are not my responsibility. universal healthcare is insane. low cost health care would be the result of a free market economy. right now we don't have a free market health care system. we have big corps and big govt. the two cannot be separated, even with universal HC. you want low costs? try allowing competition and patient choice.

But................... in order to have universal healthcare we kinda need a government insurer or the requirement that everyone buy a policy from either a private or government insurance pool.
I don't know if I like the idea of what your suggesting as government delivered health care for the fact that the majority of Americans and healthcare workers don't want an NHS-style system so a US/ Canadian style medicare insurance is the focus and I might add more feasible for US capitalist style.

And most of you people don't know my family who the government turned its back and now we are 20000 dollars in debt due to health care, and the governments justification was we weren't poor enough....this is a mistake.....in 50 years after God knows what you will see another repeat of history......ignorance and using morality to gain power.....that is lowest of the low...wait.....other people has done it.

Not only am I willing to pay for that but I will also pay for the 6 year old child with lukemia and the 40 year old man supporting a family with a heart condition and the 79 year old widow who needs medicine and the single parents of sickly children and the poor and the week. There are more people to consider in this equation than just the promiscuous and irresponsible.

I need a car 2 get 2 work! Heck, doesn't every doctor have to have a car to get to work also? Gee, maybe it should be a human right to have a driver's license and a right to a free car. Especially a GM considering taxpayers we're FORCED to be part owners of GM now. It should be a human right to own a car without a license. Just as much it should be a hooker's, whore & single mom's human right to have free abortions provided by taxpayers and recieve welfare & free health care even while on drugs!

You americans are really stupid bigs, if you think that healthcare for all, has something to do with a dictatorship. Everyone has a right for the best possible medicin. it is a human right. But in the US obviously you don't give a shit about human rights

in austria we spend 6% of GDP. In the US they spend 16%. In austria everyone gets the best possible medicine nearly totally free.
Our socialized health care system is ages better than the inefficient and antisocial "only the rich get health care"

We can see that we are a sickly nation as DC Jarvis, MD said. He documented quick healings by adding apple cider vinegar to the diel of man and animals.
It will sure be better to add a vinegar salad dressing at least and some pickles and coleslaw with vinegar etc. Get some sunshine and fresh air if possible.
We need to turn to a garden paradise lifestyle; we have no need of anything else. Without fresh food around, nothing else matters. Health comes from healthy living, God's plan.

i read that its better to have an alkaline and not acid system.... i guess even thats subject to debate

Typical collectivist response.

You can't health care reform without tort reform.

Barack Obama's plan centers around two main concepts;
one: The American economy is a capitalistic economy, it needs stimulation in order to grow and succeed. Like it or not the insurance companies in this nation play a large role in the stimulation of this economy. Second:government regulation of health care in Barack's proposed format would allow people who cannot receive health insurance based on income or preexisting health conditions to receive the same health care that the rest of us do.

Josh, i respect your opinion, and it is one way to look at this issue. I believe, however, that the profit motive has been demostrated to conflict in millions of cases with the best health care for the patient. Is it possible that a "middleman' can acutally reduce cost? Yes, for sure. The problem is that by the nature of capitalism the sole driving "soul" of the middelman is profit.
